/ Our Story

How It All Started

My father spent his entire life in charge of a small hardware store serving the public. He was my first reference for good customer service. I enjoyed watching him from across the counter: his smile, his close way of listening, the polite but assertive way he provided each recommendation, how he earned the trust of each client… and how, in the end, the customer left delighted, fascinated by their service.

When years later, I had the opportunity to be one of the pioneers of remote customer service in Spain, I felt, without a doubt, that I had found my place in the professional world.

That allowed me to understand the enormous potential of this sector but also made me see its shortcomings because soon my illusions collided with reality: in all the sectors I went through – energy, telecommunications, tourism or banking – the customer was treated as a number, and not as a person. The relationship with the customer had become dehumanized.

That’s why Nexia was born. Because I deeply believe that another way of caring is possible. Because I know that every conversation can make a difference. And because I want to see reflected in my children’s eyes the same pride with which I looked at my father when I saw him serve his clients with dedication and respect.

Nexia is not just a company, it is the commitment to a way of treating people that should never have been forgotten. Nexia was born to provide the customer with that experience of feeling cared for, listened to and well advised.
